Welcome to the information page of the Venerable Henriette Delille Youth Leadership Institute. The Institute is designed to develop and create visionary leaders. Enrollment is offered to young ladies in grades 8-12 in the Greater New Orleans Area.
The purpose of the Venerable Henriette Delille Youth Leadership Institute is to prepare youth leaders to think critically, live Christian values, give service and act responsibly. The program will be a thought provoking three-day program in July.
Venerable Henriette Delille was a born leader who possessed vision and determination to change the world and her local community. She was a native New Orleanian, who founded the Sisters of the Holy Family. It was her goal to have access and equality for all people. Delille is the first U.S. native born African-American to be recognized by the Catholic Church for canonization.
The Venerable Henriette Delille Institute will empower youth to define their role in the community as servant leaders. The program will be held on the campus of St. Mary's Academy.
