Unique Traditions St. Mary’s Academy enjoys a proud legacy that is rich in traditions. A testament to the school’s mission of producing Christ-centered students who think critically and act responsibly in a global society, these traditions reinforce the importance of honor and integrity while challenging students to be leaders. The Annual Debutante Ball Every year, the school formally introduces the members of its senior class to society with an elaborate ball. This time-honored tradition is one of the most anticipated events of the social season.
A prelude to the annual Debutante Ball, the Mother and Daughter Tea affords seniors an opportunity to spend some quality time with mom before their big presentation to society.

The programs feature the distribution of gifts and incentives provided by the school’s many Business Partners. At midterm, Renaissance takes on a “star-like” nature as students strut their stuff on a red carpet and receive “Oscar-like” awards.
In the fall, each senior is paired with a "little sister" in the freshmen class for a day of activities, bonding and mentoring. This activity helps to transition the freshmen into the high school environment.
